Scholarships

Since 2006, MCCF has awarded scholarships to Mineral County students, annually, MCCF awards three $500 scholarships to high school seniors from each School District. From the County-wide list of applicants, a $1,500 scholarship is awarded to a student who demonstrates overall excellence, with a greater emphasis on volunteerism and community service. In 2018, the Board elected to add a $500 scholarship to an aspiring high school junior as an incentive to seek a college degree.

MCCF supported a $500 scholarship annually to a student who applies to the MedStart program, where he or she spends a week shadowing various health professionals. The MedStart program was recently discontinued but we are hopeful that this program will be funded again so that we may help more Mineral County Students to preview a career in medicine.
